Legal Sea Foods located in Terminal B & C is a Boston classic, which is known for clam chowder and fresh seafood. Many travelers stop here for a 'taste of New England' before the ships. The Terminal B location has very good options for quick service.

Stephanie's located in Terminal B is a cozy sit-down place with comfort food with a Boston spin - think lobster rolls, salads and warm entrees. A great escape for the terminal noise.

Ground Transportation

Boston Logan has incredibly well-linked transportation network:

  • Taxi & Ride-hailing:Uber, Lyft, & official Boston cabs have assigned pick up areas in each terminal. You will see that there is high demand during the evening hours and if you book early in advance, you can avoid last minute worry.
  • MBTA "Blue Line" Metro: Links the airport to downtown Boston via Airport Station (accessible by a free shuttle). It's the fastest option for times when the traffic is high.
  • Buses:The Silver Line (SL1) for those without money, take the bus and you will be able to reach the South Station and the Financial District.
  • Car Rentals:All rental brands, including Hertz, Avis, Enterprise operate from the Rental Car Center that you can access via the free shuttle.
  • Traveler Tip:Traffic from Logan to downtown may be slow at rush hours -- public transit may be faster than taxis.

  • 3-Hour Layover (Within the Airport): Stay airside and have a meal at the Legal Sea Foods. Walk the art exhibits along Terminals A and C and then relax in a lounge - The Lounge BOS in Terminal C is quick access. End with a seat at Terminal E with a view of the harbor.
  • 5-6 Hour Layover (Quick City Loop): Take the free shuttle - Airport MBTA Station - Blue Line to Aquarium Station (approx. 20 minutes). Stroll along Boston Harborwalk and stop in for a coffee at a waterfront cafe and leave with a buffer of 2 hours before your next flight.
  • 8+ Hour Layover (Half Day Boston Tour): Hop On the Silver Line to South Station Explore Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall and the Freedom Trail. Visit Boston Common or take a meal at the North End (famous for Italian cuisine). Return to BOS with a minimum of 2 - 2.5 hours to clear security.
